Back in the day, my hangar was outright spacious. Until I started my RV-10 build. Then it started to get a little cramped. I’m going to hang onto my current Cessna until I get further along in my build. Then the time will come to sell it to fund a major component like the avionics or engine. But for a few years, it will live in my hangar for my flying fixes.
Old Hangar:

I had been on the Livermore hangar waiting list for a “combo” hangar… that is, an end unit that happens to be a hangar and a half. Mid-April I got notified that one came up! Not only was it a hangar-and-a-half, it was also a slight upgrade from a small to medium hangar, so even the regular hangar portion has a couple of extra feet in each dimension.
I just finished the move from the old hangar to the new, and there is tons of space. I haven’t even assembled my shelving yet! There was already floor to ceiling shelving installed, which I haven’t filled up yet. So I am very excited about resuming the build, and not having to work underneath a Cessna wing anymore!
New Hangar:

Congrats on the new job Chris, and the “new” hanger. Oh, congrats on the progress with your plane. Last, but not least, I took the easy way out on the last several Builder items as I have several irons in the fire. Take care.

That mid-build workshop move… I would never have thought how disruptive moving into a better space can be until I went through it last summer!
