Right Leading Edge Riveting and Tank Parts Begin

This log entry covers work done on Saturday Nov. 26th and Sunday Nov 27th.

Started riveting the right leading edge. Decent quality, no dents! Maybe a small number of drill-outs due to a very very slightly proud rivet. So slight that it may be worthwhile to leave them instead of risking damage. A couple more that are more definitive that they should be replaced. Stopped short of finishing because the angle at the leading edge gets awkward, so I will likely save those for when I have someone to help.

Took advantage of the warm weather (hit 70F+ in the hangar) to patch a small dent in my left leading edge (hangar rash!) and a couple of small dents in the tailcone since I purchased a filling compound several months ago and the shelf life expiry date is coming up.

Then started on a ton of cutting tank parts. Twenty eight stiffeners were cut out and edges deburred. Then 14 “Z” brackets were cut, still have to edge debur those.
