Posted by A friend of mine, Natalie, came out to the hangar to help me with the right wing top skin riveting. It went great! Used the same back-riveting technique as the left wing. A small number that I want to replace, some overdriven, a couple were too short and got pancaked and 2 or 3 I slipped with the back rivet set and chewed up the shop head. One little owie on the skin too with one of the slips.
Natalie tried her had with the rivet gun on one of the aft spar rivets … these have no room for the back rivet set and must use the traditional rivet gun and bucking bar technique. Rivet was set perfectly, she’s a pro!
