Posted by Almost complete. Only a couple of rivets that cannot be reached easily with the squeezer that I will have to use the riveting gun. One mistake… riveted a hole that was supposed to have been left open, I pulled the “do not rivet” tape off to early. I also left off the aileron attach bracket, I’m still waiting to see if I need to adjust the angle aluminum on these to make certain surfaces flush riveted.
The plans had actually called for AN470 AD4-8 size rivets and I was running low. Then I found some AD4-9 rivets which actually will work better in the places where it needs to go through a rib flange as well (the plans probably should have called for these). Anyway, hit the inventory bins and found another baggie of AD4-8 rivets, so I’ll be in good shape for the right wing. I keep these small lot rivets in the baggies, the common ones in their own dedicated bins. Sometimes you get multiple bags of the same size in the various kits, so I did some consolidating.
