Starting the elevators in earnest. Started with peeling the vinyl from 4 skins (2 top, 2 bottom). Unfortunately, got too aggressive on one of the skins, as the vinyl is firmly in place and the skin is very thin (0.016″). So… one little crease. Tried to knock it out, and it’s not bad but not perfect (not pictured either). Since it’s a control surface, I do not want to really fill it if at all possible. Replacement skin is only $30, so I might go with that.
Anyway, it was just a little bit of work to bend some tabs on 4 skins, and to cleco the ribs (that were prepared a while back) in place.
