Continued work on the spars for the horizontal stabilizer. One last task on the rear spar — assembling the elevator bearing assembly. Quick and easy, just final size drilling, deburring and riveting. Bolted onto rear spar, but did not torque the nuts as my existing torque wrench is too large (used for oil filter, spark plugs, etc). I ordered a smaller one, calibrated in inch-lbs.
Then it was on to some parts fabrication and finishing for the front spar. Two support brackets need to be fabricated out of some beefy angle aluminum. Then it was the tedious task of cutting angles out of and edge deburring of half a dozen spar end caps and stringers.
