VS: Rear Spar Done!

Continued and finished riveting the doubler and spar caps to the Rear Spar of the Vertical Stabilizer. I had previously used Rustoleum primer on the doubler, that stuff isn’t horrible but it’s much less durable than the SEM primer (which is 2x the cost but worth it). So the rear spar is now complete, other than bolting the bottom rudder bracket to it.

Speaking of which, I also “heavily deburred” and primed and painted the rudder stops (these get inserted into the rudder bottom bracket).

Then it was riveting the newly finished rear spar to the rest of the Vertical Stabilizer skeleton which I had previously assembled. The bottom ribs have to just be clecoed at this point because they will need to be removed for access when riveting the skin on top of this skeleton.
